What payment types are acceptable?
All clients will receive an initial invoice outlining services and associated fees. Invoices are securely generated via PayPal, and a card payment is required to submit the deposit toward your service balance. Remaining balances may be paid by cash or card at the time of your appointment, once services are rendered.
Are there any late or cancellation fees?
A late fee will begin to accrue after 15 minutes past your scheduled appointment time. If you arrive 30 minutes or more late, your appointment will be automatically canceled. If you contact us before the 30-minute mark, you will be allowed to reschedule one time only, subject to availability. Clients who miss their appointment without prior notice will forfeit their deposit and will not be allowed to rebook. All cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance of your appointment time. Failure to do so may result in loss of deposit and booking privileges.
Is there a deposit fee for appointment booking?
A $25 deposit is required to secure most appointment slots. This deposit is non-refundable but will be applied toward your total service cost. Please note, wig services and custom orders must be paid in full at the time of booking.
Do you offer consultations prior to appointment bookings?
While consultations are recommended for all makeup and wig services, they are not mandatory. For makeup appointments, clients will receive a skin questionnaire via email to help Grim select the best products for each individual. In-depth consultations lasting 30 minutes are available for an additional $25. These sessions offer personalized guidance on product recommendations, skincare routines, and makeup preparation tailored to your unique skin type.
Is there a physical location for the shop?
All appointments are now offered on a “Travel to Client” basis. Specialty appointments and loyalty clients may be seen at the stylist’s home salon by appointment only. Please note, during event seasons, travel schedules may affect availability. Updated block-off dates and any changes to hours will be posted regularly in the Contact section of our website
CUSTOM WIG INQUIRIES:
How often should I wash my custom wig?
Wig units should be washed weekly using a warm water soak with a moisture-enriched shampoo. When conditioning, gently detangle using a wide-tooth comb only.
Will I damage my bundles if I use a blow dryer?
To maintain the longevity of your virgin hair, avoid using a blow dryer unless set to a low, cool setting. For best results, air dry your hair on a mannequin head or hang it on a hanger to allow proper airflow.
What is a good installation process for a beginner wig wearer?
Using holding spray or glue is recommended for a secure fit of lace area. Start by molding down any loose baby hairs with pomade or gel. Follow with the holding spray and allow it to dry completely. Adjust your wig to find the most comfortable fit and proper lace placement—always position the wig just ahead of your natural hairline, especially when using glue. Apply 2–3 coats of the holding spray, allowing each layer to dry fully before applying the next. For the final coat, let it dry until tacky before gently pulling the lace forward and pressing it into place with a comb. Wrap a silk scarf or elastic band around your hairline for 10–15 minutes to help lock the lace securely. Carefully trim away any excess lace and use alcohol to remove any leftover spray residue.
My lace is too light; how can I make it look more realistic?
To achieve a natural scalp appearance, use a lace tint or apply a foundation shade one tone darker than your skin color to the inside of the lace. If using foundation, be sure to lock the color in place by spraying a holding spray over the lace. Allow it to dry completely before continuing with the application process.
How do I properly clean excess glue or spray off my lace?
To clean lace, gently apply conditioner and let it sit on the glued area or use hair oil along with a Brillo-sided sponge for effective removal. For best results, we recommend using a dedicated lace glue remover spray. Saturate the lace gently with the remover and softly rub until all excess glue, gel, or holding spray is lifted away helping to preserve the integrity of your hairline
Are there any certain methods to do when using curling tools on wig?
Always apply a heat protectant before using any hot tools. This helps maintain the luster and softness of your virgin hair while protecting any custom color treatments.
Can my lace become damaged from improper handling?
The lace on your closure or frontal is delicate and can be easily damaged. Be gentle when styling the hair attached to it—rough handling can cause balding, excessive shedding, and even holes in the lace.
Can my custom wig be colored easily?
For all color services, we highly recommend sending your wig back and booking the service through us—unless you are working with another licensed professional. Please keep in mind, color is a one-shot process. Improper application can permanently damage the hair. Custom coloring requires skill, precision, and experience to achieve the best results—so trust a professional to get it right.
How often do I need to book a wig revamp service?
If you wear your unit daily, we recommend sending it in every 2–3 months for a Revamp Service. This includes track tightening, a deep cleanse wash, color refresh, and other necessary touch-ups to maintain the quality and longevity of your unit.
